So, I am now officially 18 years old.

I can legally drink (here, in the Philippines) and vote, even though voting is over in California. T.T (GO OBAMA!!!!) I can go into clubs legally now, not that they cared all that much in the first place. I can't date any one of my classmates cuz they're all minors, except for one girl who's older than me but I'm straight so... (and it'd be gross anyway. I love my classmates, but never that way...).

And... yeah. That's about it.

But, y'know, since I'm not in my timezone back in America, I don't officially turn 18 here in the PI until November 6th at 10:40 AM. I was born November 5th at 4:40 PM and the sixteen hour time difference is, well, screwy to say the least.

Anyway! Happy birthday to me!

Oh, and if anyone I know here lives near UST or FEU, wanna come to my dance concert? I'm on the Nursing Dance Troupe at UST and our concert is on November 17th (I think). TWO MORE WEEKS TILL NURSING WEEK!!!

BFF = Girl. Me = Girl. Me/BFF = Straight. Me + BFF = ERROR! (See? I learned something in school, Mom. =])

Loving someone. I can love whoever I want and no one can tell me if it's right or wrong. Being loved by someone is hard on both of you if you don't feel the same way about him/her. If I'm loving someone and it's unrequited, then at least I know I'm alive and capable of love.

Nope. I'd probably forgive them eventually, but never forget. I have too much pride for that, unfortunately.

Finished my last finals today. I think I failed Chem Lec but I'm pretty sure I was able to pass Psych. XDDDD I need to learn how to study long-term.

And now I have 3 weeks break! I'll be having dance lessons 4 times a week (M, W, F for two hours in the morning and then four hours on Saturday). Then I'll be studying Filipino and hopefully gain some kind of mastery. I can understand a whole lot more, but that's only really informal stuff and when I pay close attention. Can't even create a whole sentence yet. XP

It's been out for four days already and I'm sure everyone doesn't really care about my opinion on it, but I really want to talk about this album.

Overall Rating: 10 out of 10
The boys have grown far beyond the days of 'TRI-ANGLE' and 'Tonight.' After nearly two years, they bring everything they have and present their talent for their fans. Strong and confident, they ooze comfort, even in the midst of new territory. The weak songs that are here do disappoint me because I felt that (after their long hiatus) all of the songs should have struck a cord in me. However, the new concept and inner strength that they've given to their fans shines in the others and it gives these boys dimension in the mostly 2D world of K-pop. Worth the wait and looking forward to more.

If I don't get this album for my birthday, I think I might just cry. I'm turning 18, dammit. I'll be damned if that's not worth something. And I'm Filipino! I'll be recognized as an adult around the world by then.

Okay. Just wanted to get this out.

I'm kind sick of hearing people say that Mirotic is a weak song, especially then it was DBSK themselves that called it a "reverse beat" R&B song. It's different, very much so from their first three previous albums' first singles. It's not hard-hitting or completely dance-oriented, but instead more mid-tempo with expressive choreo and a sexy concept to go with their unique storyline.

I've heard people say WG's Nobody is better, but in what sense? That it's a better song with better lyrics and better singing and better melodies? Let's be honest. The first, second and fourth are all opinions based on preference. The third is just plain no. I like WG but Sanmi can't breathe correctly (thought I hope she learns), Yoobin's rapping is good but her singing is off sometimes during lives, and Sohee honestly can't hold a tune. And Sunye and Yeeun can't make up for three weaker singers when DBSK was basically set up as an acapella/pop/R&B group.

But the real reason (I think) people consider it better?

It's familiar.

We've seen them do retro with their last two singles and we've heard many other artists go the same way in the last year or so. They even went with the "Dreamgirls" concept, which was a worldwide hit. Why wouldn't it be considered better, especially with a music video based off a movie?

Honestly, if DBSK came out with "HEY (Don't Bring me Down)" first, then it would've secured their spot and left no one in doubt. It sounds different, but not so much that it'll alienate fans and they would've been sold on the MV because, let's face it, their MVs are never bad. (Mirotic was a little weird for me though, but I think it's the lack of cinematography. The depth wasn't the same as the first three, but it was enjoyable. The actual plot and sexy lyrics helped it along.)

That's my two cents. In the end, DBSK's 4th album is already the top-selling album in Korea and it's not even gonna be released until, what? Friday? In the end, money talks and DBSK will be making a lot of that very, very soon for SME.

Anyone else have any thoughts about this? I'm curious. Or am I alone on this?

I sing! ^^ And not too badly (I hope). Just did a cover of Lisa's "Nuna, You Are So Pretty (Replay) - English Version" and I wanted some input. I haven't sung in a while (unless you count the shower and a few 'rounds of karaoke every now and then) since I quit singing lessons about a year and a half ago.

Just wanted to post something. Felt kinda lonely. I'm graduating next Friday (yes, Friday the 13th. Luckily I'm not too superstitious. ^^) I'm moving too. To the Philippines for college. I start the 16th. And, yes, I know that means no summer vacation. T.T

Things I have to do in the Philippines:
- Study hard
- Not date (I don't really like Filipino boys, so this one may not be too hard. ^^;;)
- Learn Tagalog (I am illiterate in this language. I fail. I know.)
- Not burn out
- Make new friends
- Get used to the humudity (This is a MUST! I'm going to sweat like crazy...)

I have no more braces! But my retainers suck because I have a lisp when I talk.

Oh, and everyone knows SHINee, right? If you don't, go here to see their debut song's MV. It's translated as 'Nuna, You're So Pretty (Replay)'. Very addictive~

And check out this girl who did a remake of it, but in the older girl's perspective and in English! She's amazing! Her name is aozorafantasii on YT and Lisa in real life, I guess.

The Korean Music Festival was awesome!

Summary of Concert:

1. DBSK's Junsu sang the South Korean National anthem beautifully. I was in awe. His voice completely overwhelmed me in person.

2. Super Junior T can sing well live, and Yehsung tagged along to sing Haengbok with the other members.

3. Chae Yeon did well. I'm not a big fan, but I knew most of her songs and she sang them well. ^^

4. I'm not familiar with the older artists, but I did like most of the performances. Some were a little too long for my taste, but they were very well done.

5. SNSD was good, but I think I set my standards for them a little too high. The main singers were good, but the weaker ones struggled a little more. I'm not sure if it was an off-day, but they did well condsidering the 20,000 fans. Missed Yoona. T.T

6. Moon Heejun is so much hotter in person, and his voice is amazingly sexy. His dancing is top notch too. Still one of the best performers from S. Korea's most successful boy band.

7. Lee Minwoo + hot dancing and singing - a tank top = dead fangirls everywhere! @_@ It was amazing. Like magic or something...

8. FTTS was great. Fun, cute, and so talented. Brian and Hwanhee gave a top-notch performance.

9. SG Wannabe is my new love. I liked their voices before, but they were amazing live. So. Much. Better.

10. Son Ho Young is sexy. I never knew who he was, but he was so great at singing and performing. He took my breath away.

11. DBSK was my main reason for going, and they didn't disappoint.

Lip-synced Rising Sun and Purple Line, but the overall power and charsima was overwhelming. I heard Tonight live, which made me realize that they sound better live too. And Balloons was the encore with Super Junior T, SNSD, and Brian.

P.S. All of them looked hotter in person to. Especially Min. Cameras don't do him or any of the boys justice. Of course, I was in my seat and I'm a bit biased, but honestly. They look so much hotter live and in front of you. ^^

12. The final number was fun, full of fanservice, and fireworks.

Watch SPEED RACER as soon as you can! Seriously didn't expect it to be so amazing, but, for me, it was! If you like flashy graphics, a good story in an action movie, and some really good actors (like Bi ^^), then I think you will like this movie.

PLEASE GIVE IT A CHANCE!!!

I go back to school Tuesday (late, yes, because my school system is weird. We get out late too.). I don't wanna! I just want to be lazy and not think about college. *sighs sadly*

Does anyone know how to get rid of writer's block? My fic "The Way You Look At Me" is on an indefinite hiatus because I can't write anything for it. Any ideas?

Also, to add to that, I joined in_vazn, a DBSK writing comm that has authors complete a table for the pairing, OT3, OT4, or OT5 that you choose. I'm doing Jaejoong/Changmin/Yoochun for my OT3 of choice. Yes, random, but fun. I'm hoping it'll snap me out of my writing funk.

Well, I better go and do some writing. I was able to get two ficlets done for the table and hopefully I'll post them soon. ^^

Well, the P.I. was awesome and I've been back for more than a week. I just don't like to check in... ^^;; Best part? Shopping there is like being a kid in a candy store. Everything was cute and really cheap. I got, like, 8 new pairs of jeans for $4 each. XDDDDDDDD Plus all this other stuff. Life is very sweet. ^^

I'm going on vacation! YAY!

I'm going back to the Philippines with my parents and younger sister. We're also going to Hong Kong, so I'm doing shopping. I usually hate shopping, but stuff there (well, at least in the P.I.) is cheap like crazy. ^^ I'm going to enjoy this.
